Community Health Workers Workshop on Migration, Stress, and Mental Health

On Thursday April 19th we are inviting program staff participants from the Networking for Community Health program to participate in a workshop provided by UC Berkeley's School of Public Health.

To register, please complete and submit the following form NCH CHW Registration Form. We are inviting NCH projects to send up to 4 participants to attend this workshop. Please register for the event by Friday, April 13th. Space is limited, so please register early!

Youth as Presenters Training
Saturday, May 5, 2012
Sacramento, CA

Youth Development Network will provide an all-day training for NCH projects on Saturday, May 5th in Sacramento.In this training, youth will learn and practice the tools and skills necessary to become a skilled presenter and facilitator, such as:

  • How to use verbal tools to be dynamic and effective
  • How to use (and read)nonverbal cues when presenting to your audience
  • Utilizing their knowledge to help them be more confident presenters
  • Adults will learn and practice these tools and skills as well as gain knowledge on how to support youth as they take on these responsibilities

To register, please complete and submit the following form NCH Youth as Presenters Registration Form. We are inviting NCH projects to send up to 3 youth participants and 1 adult program staff to attend this workshop. Please register for the event by Monday, April 23rd.

Networking for Community Health Final Convening

Please join us for the final convening of the Networking for Community Health Grantee Learning Community on June 20, 2012 at The California Endowment in Los Angeles. This final convening will provide an opportunity for you and other grantees to come together, share experiences and discuss the successes and challenges you faced during the term of your project.

HHIF Learning Network Webinar: QI Date Metrics & Reporting Webinar
Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1pm

On the webinar CCI and Desert Vista Consulting (DVC) will share the new Quarterly Quality Improvement Reporting Tool. Our guest presenter, Dr. Robert Moore from Partnership HealthPlan, will discuss the importance of ongoing data collection and how he has used it in the past at a clinic level and now at a health plan level.

Following Dr. Moore's presentation, DVC will walk teams through the data reporting format and how run charts can be used to easily track and report data over time and can be used for QI purposes. This will be followed by a presentation from one of the HHIF teams on how they are using data for ongoing decision making.
