What is the Community Clinic Voice?

The Community Clinic Voice is an online gathering place for clinic professionals to network, share information and exchange ideas in order to build stronger and healthier communities. By overcoming geographic isolation and the time constraints on busy clinic professionals, the online community provides a forum for a wide range of clinical staff to connect with one another. The online information is accessible at any time from any location. The range of clinical staff participating in the community provides valuable insight from every side of clinic operations.

What can you find here?

The Community Clinic Voice is a valuable resource of current news and information about health care. The News, Trends & Healthcare Policy section is updated daily with the latest developments that have an impact on community clinics like HIPAA, software products and funding opportunities. Our news section highlights all of the relevant articles from key sites such as iHealth Beat, California Healthline, etc. Community members can choose to have the news items emailed to them daily. In addition, every month we email a News Digest to all community members. The digest is a summary of the main topics and headlines in the news throughout the month with links to specific articles for more information. The Calendar section is updated with seminars, conferences, and workshops available to clinics in California. The Job Postings section had listings of open positions in community health centers.

Community members can also access discussions and a wide range of resources and tools in the Clinical, Financial, Operations and Information Technology sections. Community members can participate in any discussion, or start a new topic of their own. The discussions allow clinic professionals to share information, experience, ideas and support. Private sections of the site are also available for small groups who wish to exchange information or collaborate on particular issues.

Who are the members?

The members of The Voice are other like-minded clinic professionals. Because The Voice is a private forum for clinic representatives to openly discuss their work and the issues they face, commercial solicitations and advertising are not part of the site. In the Directory section, you'll find a list of all the members, which can be sorted by name, email, job title and organization. The Directory allows members to find others who share their interests.

How can it help you in your work?

The Community Clinic Voice can help clinic professionals in their work by providing them with one convenient, easy to navigate, place to go for their news and resources. It also offers them the chance to interact with other community members who may be facing the same challenges that they are. By identifying others with similar projects or issues, they can learn from the experiences of others, or form collaborations to solve problems.
